Eligibility and Special Notes

All Participants Must Have USCF Membership. For players who do not have USCF ID, there is option to pay extra $10 to include new USCF Membership during the registration.

All Players must attend a school or live in North Carolina. If you see registered player who does not live in North Carolina or does not attend school in North Carolina, or assigned to wrong school team, please bring it to our attention before the tournament started.

K-1 Players Sunday Option: Players will be spotted a ½ point for every full point earned in K-1 section when entered into the K-3 section. We will round down for any quarter fractions in score.

Webcast Top Boards: Players on top boards in any section may be offered a USCF approved or non-approved digital tools provided by the organizer. Games will be broadcasted over the internet for public viewing.

Withdrawals: If you cannot attend rounds as expected and must leave the event, please visit Chess Control/Registration area to confirm.

Byes: Up to three 0.5 point byes allowed for sections with 6-7 rounds. Up to two 0.5 point byes allowed for sections with 5 rounds. Must declare before tournament begins.

Teams: Minimum of 4 players in the same section to qualify as a team. Teams may consist of many players, but only top 4 scores count toward overall team score. Home School teams can be made up of players in the same zip code.
